Precision Camera Continues in “Never Surrender” Fight to Cure ALS.

Enfield, Connecticut. April 30, 2009 –Precision Camera and Video Repair President led his team in donating $16,000 towards Lou Gehrig’s/ ALS research. Since joining Best Buy as Presenting Sponsor of the Blackwoods Never Surrender Blizzard snowmobile tour benefiting ALS research, Precision Camera employees have contributed over $60,000 towards the cause. Other riders on the tour included Minnesota Twins coaches and legendary players: Ron Gardenhire, Terry Steinbach and Kent Hrbek.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Over 30,000 Americans suffer from ALS at any given time. The ALS Association sponsors research to find a cause and cure for this crippling and fatal disease, which was initially brought to public attention when baseball great, Lou Gerhrig succumbed to the illness in 1941. Visitors and business partners of Precision Camera are frequently gifted copies of Tuesdays With Morrie, The 1997 book which poignantly introduces the reader to the affects of the disease through a series of discussions between author Mitch Albom and his former Brandeis University professor, Morrie Schwartz, who passes from the illness.
