Enfield, Connecticut, December 6, 2006 - Precision Camera, the world's largest camera repair facility, was recognized at the Team Connecticut Rally, hosted by CEDAS (the Connecticut Economic Development Association) on December 5, 2006 as the economic development professionals gathered at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell. The event's 12th annual gathering is held to acknowledge and celebrate the project's role in driving jobs and economic growth in the state. As part of the annual Team Connecticut Rally, the EDDY Awards (short for Economic Development) are presented each year to recognize outstanding economic development projects and programs that exemplify the Team Connecticut spirit, advance economic development and positively impact the Connecticut economy.

This evening's presentation of the 2006 Team Connecticut EDDY Awards went to four organizations and programs that demonstrated excellence in one of three economic development award categories. Precision Camera, Inc., of Enfield, CT received a Team CT Project EDDY for growing from 49 to 490 employees and acquiring 18,500 additional square feet of space within four years of operation. Precision Camera currently repairs about 600,000 cameras and camcorders a year.

Other 2006 EDDY awards presented were the Team CT Project EDDY to: GlobeOp Financial Services, the Team CT Program EDDY to UConn Technology Incubation Program, and the Team CT Community Project EDDY presented to the Wauregan Hotel.
