PRECISION CAMERA PARTICIPATES IN COMMUNITY PROGRAM WITH ENFIELD TRANSISTIONAL LEARNING ACADEMY

Enfield, Connecticut, January 12, 2009 - Precision Camera is once again partnering with the Enfield Transitional Learning Academy (ETLA) for a community program that not only helps provide life skills for the community's young adults but also helps raise valuable funds for the program's success.

The Enfield Transitional Learning Academy began in 2007 to help with the individual needs of young adults with disabilities who have completed their academic requirements for high school graduation. With the support of teachers and counselors, the students obtain training in functional academics, communication, community participation, life skills, vocational experience, and self-advocacy.

In 2008, Precision Camera approached the ETLA with a proposal to convert the large amount of empty beverage containers used by Precision Camera's 500 employees into valuable funds to help fuel the program's success. "It was a great opportunity for us to provide the bottles for refunds that in turn help generate funds for this wonderful local community program," says Precision Camera's Charitable Campaign Manager, Christopher Davis. "We are proud to help these young adults obtain the necessary life skills needed to enter the 'real world' successfully."

Not only does Precision Camera help raise funds for the program, but they also provide an opportunity for the young adults to gain important vocational skills. "The ETLA also helps us by providing a courier service between our multiple building campus in Enfield, CT," says Davis. "It is important that we give back to the community that has helped us grow so much in the past few years, and helping the students in the ETLA gain life skills is a great way to make the community a better place for all of us."
